Last week, my husband and I had to go to the allergy doctor. We have been having some major issues with our respiratory tracts this year and we have been having trouble breathing. We thought at first that it was just our regular seasonal pollen and dust allergies, but then it never seemed to go away. We put in some special allergy reducing air filters on our HVAC system, but that only helped a tiny bit. That’s when we decided to go and talk to the allergy doctor to see if he had any other ideas for us. We were afraid that he was going to tell both of us that we were going to need to start getting weekly allergy shots! But he didn’t say that at all. As a matter of fact, the first thing that he mentioned to us was how we should call our local heating and cooling company and see if they were willing to install something in our house called a UV light air purification system. The allergy doctor had been reading about this type of whole home air purification system and he seemed to think that it might be the answer to all of our problems. He said that he had suggested it to several other patients of his, and they had all had really good results. Apparently, a UV light air purification system can kill all kinds of bacteria and viruses, along with other things that might decrease the indoor air quality in your home. At this point, I’m willing to try just about anything.
