Whoever said that comfort plus productivity don’t go hand in hand was an idiot.
Companies are finally figuring out that a comfortable, respectfully trained plus motivated employee more than makes up for the moderate capital investment in productivity. I spent decades banging my head against the proverbial wall attempting to get this across to executive leadership. Normally, I came away disappointed plus had to rest in front of the Heating, Ventilation & A/C vent to calm myself. Now, I am out of the game. I work for myself as my career winds down. It’s a much better gig given the schedule freedom plus the pressing reduction in stress. While I miss perks enjoy a lovelyly appointed plus Heating, Ventilation & A/C perfect work space, I’ve l gained to get over it. I have checked my ego at the door a bit in order to streamline my life plus enjoy the smaller stuff. My work is done out of my lake house so, that alleviates a pressing expense in renting space. I don’t need all that stuff anyway. I just need a nice desk, a good chair plus my ipad & iPhone pretty much. However, I did notice that I would really drift off in the late morning when the temperature in my office would rise. I wasn’t getting much done. So, I took my own advice plus made myself comfortable with a ductless Heating, Ventilation & A/C component in my lake house office. I can now regulate the temperature even more completely than I could in my lavish outdated office. Once the morning temps start, I just chill my office off in a flash. And, I get way more done.
