After so many years of not using a furnace, I honestly do not think that I could bring myself to buy a furnace for my house to use it.
I will probably continue using the wood stove at my house until I grow too old to use a wood stove. If I am no longer able to use the woodstove, I should probably move into my son’s house for him to take care of me because, at that point, I am probably too useless to do anything else either. I grew up in a very old-fashioned house with a very old lifestyle too. My parents lived on a farm, and they did not have electricity during the entire time that I lived there. Instead of using a furnace to heat their house, they had a wood stove that heated their house. We didn’t have any air conditioner in our house either. During the fall, we would cut a ton of wood so that we would be able to heat our house with the woodstove. When I grew up and moved out on my own, I also used a wood stove since that is the kind of heating system that I was used to. After using a wood stove for so long, I do not think that I could get used to a furnace. Sure, a furnace is more convenient, but I like the challenge of using a wood stove. I think that I would get bored if I switched to a furnace. Unless I am forced to use a furnace, I doubt that I will ever make the switch. Besides, using the woodstove is a good exercise for me, and I enjoy it a lot.
